Nia Elain Roberts, Pererin’s Schools Pilgrimage Engagement Officer, led the Llwybr Cadfan Stamp Project between June 2024 and February 2025. Over 600 pupils took part in presentations and workshops on pilgrimage, delivered in both primary and secondary schools along the route.

As part of the project, pupils designed unique stamps for the Llwybr Cadfan Passport. These designs are now special works of art that celebrate the churches, wells, villages, and towns along the pilgrimage route and the 26 winning designs can be seen here as well as some information on the sites that house the stamps.

The stamping project aligns with the Welsh curriculum’s emphasis on Cynefin – understanding community, culture, and place. It has helped schools engage with the presence of Llwybr Cadfan within their locality and offered opportunities for cross-curricular learning. Pupils explored local Christian heritage while expressing their creativity.

Pilgrims walking the route can collect passport stamps at key locations, with two stamps available for each day of walking. Additional stamps can be collected at Cymer Abbey, Dolgellau, and Ynys Enlli – the final destination of the pilgrimage.

The passport is available to purchase in our online shop , or in person at St Cadfan’s Church, Tywyn; St Hywyn’s Church, Aberdaron; or St Deiniol’s Cathedral, Bangor.
